Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about live scores, group tables and the World Cup 2026.

Which leagues and competitions are on here?

Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 are all covered, plus the Championship and Scottish Premiership. For European club football there's the Champions League and Europa League. International tournaments include World Cup 2026 (live right now), the Euro Championship, Copa América, Nations League and African qualifiers. In the Americas: Copa Libertadores, MLS, Brasileirão, Argentine Primera and Liga MX. We also have J1 League, Süper Lig, AFC Champions League and CAF Champions League.

How live are the scores?

During a match the page refreshes itself every 30 seconds. Outside of live games it drops to every 60 seconds. The timestamp in the bar above the fixtures shows exactly when the data last updated — there's no need to reload the page manually.

What is the World Cup 2026 format?

48 teams across 12 groups of four (Groups A to L). The top two from each group go through automatically — that's 24 teams — plus the eight best third-placed finishers, making 32 teams total in the knockouts. It starts at the Round of 32 and runs single-elimination all the way to the final. USA, Canada and Mexico are co-hosting.

How do the group tables work?

Hit the Group Tables button above the fixture list. World Cup 2026 opens by default — switch competition using the tabs across the top. Each card shows one group with the full standings: P (played), W, D, L, GD (goal difference) and Pts. A gold left stripe marks 1st, green marks 2nd, amber marks 3rd. A win is worth 3 points, a draw 1. Tables update from live data every few minutes.

What do P, W, D, L, GD and Pts mean?

P is matches played. W, D, L are wins, draws and losses. GD is goal difference (goals scored minus goals conceded). Pts is total points — 3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss. At World Cup 2026, if teams are level on points the tiebreakers go: goal difference first, then goals scored, then head-to-head results between the tied teams.

Can I bet on matches from here?

Every fixture has a Bet button. Tap it to land on our betting sites comparison page where you can find odds from William Hill, 888sport, Betsson, Unibet and others. If it's your first sign-up, check free bets first — most bookmakers have a welcome offer on right now. 18+ only. Gamble responsibly.

A match I know is happening isn't showing. Why?

The page updates every 60 seconds, so give it a moment. If the league is between rounds or in its summer break there genuinely won't be any fixtures listed for that date — use the date tabs to look ahead up to seven days. A few lower divisions and regional cups aren't yet in our feeds. If a major match is persistently missing, drop us a message and we'll look into it.

Where does the data come from?

Two sources. football-data.org is the main one, covering the World Cup, Champions League, the top five European leagues and Copa Libertadores through a server-side proxy. ESPN's public API fills in everything else — MLS, Copa América, J1 League, CAF Champions League, Süper Lig and more. If one feed goes down the page switches to the other automatically.
